Bossa: Music for your soul, rhythm for your hips. The inspiration to start the band “Bossa” came to founder and vocalist Ana Berry upon moving back to Tulsa after living and traveling around the world. She chose to create a band that plays her favorite kind of music: world music. Bossa, takes the audience on a journey back in time through the classics of Bossa Nova, the rhythms of Latin America and the Caribbean, all the way to France and Italy with many jazz standards we know and love. Ana sings in 5 languages and incorporates her years of dance and acting into every performance, bringing the audience a genuine cultural experience. Ana spends much time researching the stories and honoring the history behind each song all the while pushing the boundaries and experimenting in hopes of creating something unique, a new sound, a new wave for music here in Tulsa that is, BOSSA.
