Dr. Tommy Poole has assembled an all-star group to pay tribute to the Yellowjackets and their 25 albums, 17 Grammy nominations, and 2 Grammy wins. This concert will feature songs from the Yellowjackets 43 year history. The quartet includes Tommy Poole (saxophones), Max Holm (keyboards), Glenn Dewey (bass), and Cade Crone (drums). ABOUT THE BAND: Tommy Poole has recorded as a saxophonist on numerous commercially available CDs ranging in style from classical, to jazz, to pop. has performed professionally with Ramsey Lewis, The Woody Herman Orchestra, Andy Montanez, Diane Schuur, Joe Williams, Mercer Ellington, and Dianne Reeves among many others. Pianist, Max Holm has performed hundreds of times across the US and Europe, often with renowned jazz musicians, and opening jazz festivals with his namesake combos. He is a featured performer on the album "The Inside of the Outside" with Jeff Coffin, Branford Marsalis, Trombone Shorty, et al. Bassist, Glenn Dewey has performed with Jazz and Commercial artists such as Kenny Werner, Terell Stafford, Arturo Sandoval, Stevie Wonder, Sir Paul McCartney, Manhattan Transfer, Toby Keith, and Larry Gatlin. Drummer, Cade Crone is quickly establishing himself as one of Oklahoma's top call drummers. For the past three years, he has been the drummer for the critically acclaimed OSU Jazz Orchestra - a LowDown favorite!
